Educating Businesses on the Benefits of a Healthy Workplace
The MultiTable team recently supported the Aetna Worksite Wellness Programs initiative to educate businesses on the benefits of a healthy workplace. Around 100 guests attended the first annual “Wellness Eat & Greet” event held by Aetna at the Union Square Building in downtown Seattle, Washington just last month. Our aim was to expand the knowledge and benefits of height adjustable standing desks to the corporate world.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet and learn from health-conscious vendors presenting a variety of unique products and services that align with health and wellness initiatives many companies today are trying to achieve.
“Our goal for the event was to connect quality vendors to corporate offices and employees and to share the resources that we found were prime in the area. MultiTable is exactly what we are looking for to educate attendees on both workplace wellness and ergonomic health,” said Carol Frieberg, Aetna Wellness Consultant.
Studies show that standing periodically throughout the day can decrease the risk of a multitude of health risks including cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. MultiTable products enable users to sit and stand while at work, leading to increased productivity, energy and wellness.
“I really enjoyed engaging with both the event sponsors and the attendees to learn more about what they are seeking to create a healthier lifestyle,” said Hillary Kuenn, Business Development Manager at MultiTable. “My goal was to introduce individuals and corporations to new and unique options for wellness in the workplace and at home. We are helping to spread the word through MultiTable’s Height Adjustable Desks and accessories, as well as through ergonomic information like standing and sitting posture infographics and articles focused on building a healthy workplace.”
During the event, MultiTable and Aetna gave away a MultiTable ergonomic Electric Standing Desk combination to one attendee. Propel Insurance was the event’s lucky winner, and they have since shared with us how thrilled they are to start their journey to being a healthier and happier company.
