Drew On the Air with Marketing Money Mindset
MultiTable’s very own president, Drew de Weerd was recently a guest speaker on Money Radio’s Marketing Money Mindset weekly radio show.
Drew sat alongside health expert Jen Graffice, business coach Brian Wood, marketing guru Elisa “Sparks” Lane, and Dr. Cory Ostroot from the American Center for Natural Medicine, validating and discussing all the benefits of owning a height adjustable desk. Money Radio also featured special guest Bryce Cleveland, CEO and founder of Scalp Aesthetics to join in on this enthusiastic wellness talk.
During the podcast, Drew explained how challenging it was to find a quality height adjustable desk in the United States. Originally from Europe, Drew exclaimed, “In Holland, it was the norm!” This frustration directed the entrepreneur to the drawing board, which started the design for one of the leading standing desks in the United States, MultiTable’s Hand Crank Height Adjustable Standing Desk. Soon after, MultiTable.com was born in 2010.
Drew continued to explain that through trial and error, his team succeeded in manufacturing high quality and affordable height adjustable desks. In conjunction with the obvious health and wellness benefits of owning a standing desk, Drew’s intention was to create a product line that was an ergonomic necessity, making MultiTable’s desks a “common product” over the last five years.
Dr. Ostroot, also known as “Dr. O”, informed Money Radio’s listeners that sitting all day actually shortens your DNA. He shared, “Our DNA has ends – they’re called telomeres. And every time your cell divides, your telomeres shorten. So if you’re sitting consistently, those telomeres are going to shorten faster and faster and faster.”
Dr. Ostroot also related MultiTable Standing Desks to inclined bed therapy. “When standing, you’re allowing gravity to work on you and that allows your heart to pump your blood and circulate it,” Dr. O said. “When that’s not happening, you end up with blood stasis or congestion and that causes a lot of pain.”
In addition to the health benefits of MultiTable’s Standing Desk product line, Drew let Money Radio hosts and listeners in on what’s next for MultiTable.
“We are launching a brand-new desk model that we are actually introducing to the public in the next several months. We have worked on this model for the last year and a half, and there are a lot of added benefits to it,” Drew announced. “ We have also been focusing on desk conversions, where we go in and convert existing client furniture to become height adjustable.”
That’s not all MultiTable has going on in the next months! Money Radio host Elisa Lane talked about MultiTable’s community involvement and their upcoming donation of MultiTable Height Adjustable Desks to the new Horticulture Learning Center opening this spring at the Desert Botanical Garden.
