His law firm has strict office rules including a requirement to keep the look of the traditional cherry desk and a modesty panel. So, one of our standard Mod-Tables just wouldn’t work. Instead of sacrificing the potential mental and physical health benefits, he called us to try and work out a solution and we were more than happy to help out with a custom install.

On a perfect afternoon in May, our team went to his office with everything we needed to turn his classic, stationary desk into a longevity-driving and health-improving adjustable desk. Our goal, keep the look he needed while giving him the functionality each of our customers demands. To do this we had to replace the desk’s legs with our adjustable legs, add our motorized component, find the right place to place the desk’s controls, and attach everything to the existing wooden desk parts without them being visible to clients.

Right in his office we went to work, carefully taking apart his tradition desk and replacing his old wooden legs with new, adjustable legs. It took several hours to get everything perfect, because even a small mistake would ruin the aesthetics. But, when we were done it looked exactly as we hoped. His desk could now lift up, allowing him to stand and improve his health, or sit at his desk and have it look like every other desk in the office.
