- Unsettling – In 2008 Science Daily noted more than 47 million adults in the United States have metabolic syndrome, which causes obesity, diabetes and heart.disease. Biomedical researchers say, “The reason so.many of us have the condition is because we sit too much!”
- Concerning – Men’s Health cited a study from a Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise article that concluded men and women who sit for most of their day are 54% more likely to die of a heart attack.
